FedEx is a company. That much I'm sure of. I applied to work there today. Let me tell you about it.
Sarah and I drove to the FedEx shipping station. I walk into the office... no one's there. Tumbleweeds were blowing around the office. I don't know if everyone went on coffe break at the same time or what, but the place is deserted. So I get back in the car and Sarah and I copy the phone number down on the sign they had posted out front. We get back home and I call the place. I get all kind of weird messages from different phone companies. I looked in the yellow pages/white pages... nothing is listed for the place. I know it exists, so we tried the FedEx website. According to the website, the place doesn't exist. Also, there are no jobs available anywhere in the USA. But the sign out front said they were hiring. Sarah and I are frustrated. So we go back to the place and I walk inside. Still nobody. So... I cough real loud. Several times. Sarah is laughing at me in the car. But somebody finally came out and I filled out the application... ON-LINE! What a joke! Anyway, that was pretty funny. At least it was to Sarah and I. I fed Moses 3 nightcrawlers today. He loves them. Eats them up like spaghetti! That's all for now!

Bad Hairday
I'm not having a bad hairday today. But I have had them in the past. I usually wore a hat. I don't look good in hats. When people see me in a hat they usually say, "I never see you in a hat." Then I respond, "That's because I don't look good in them." This post is making no sense. Why am I reduced to this drivel? Can't I find another outlet for all of my creative juices?! No. So I'm posting this instead. Sarah is making coconut lime chicken. She says I'll love it. This is because I like chicken, coconut, and lime. But that doesn't mean I like them together. I like cereal and pepperoni. That doesn't mean I'd like pepperoni-flavored cereal (maybe... I don't know)! Well... I'm just rambling now. I hate going off on rabbit trails. Speaking of rabbits, have you ever had hossenpheffer? It's made from rabbits. I heard this one story about this guy who made it for his wife one time...

Chowder
Last night's dinner was delicious! Sarah made potato & corn chowder with homemade buttermilk biscuits! Yum yum! I had two bowls of chowder! I don't know where she got that recipe, but I guarantee that meal is a repeater! Look at the pictures! Doesn't it look good? I'm enjoying every bite! Why am I not smiling? I'm too concentrated on eating that delicious food, that's why! Now if you want that recipe, tell us that by commenting! Please!

Moving Right Along
Well, Mike applied for a few jobs, and found out that the exam for the Postal Service is coming up in a few weeks. Keep praying that he'll find a job soon! I sent out my resume to three school districts for substitute teaching. I have to say that I'm really enjoying the teacher's summer of not working, though! We feel like we're still on our honeymoon. We come and go as we please and haven't gotten sick of each other at all (and don't plan to!!) =)

It's been a long time!
Well, I'm (Mike) back! And with a vengeance! I have pictures, and I'm not afraid to post them! So I will. In these photographs, you will see us on a gondola; our faces through a placard; and our pride and joy, Moses! But be forewarned, the computer adds at least 50 pounds on all pictures! Oh, by the way, don't be afraid to comment! We appreciate the input! Is there something we can do to improve your blogging experience? What? Okay. I'm done ranting. Bye!

Sorry!
Sorry, but we've been busy these past few days! Yesterday, we went to Rutland, VT. We saw Talladegga Nights. Funny, but crude. Not a must see. Today, Sarah and I went to Plattsburgh, NY. - the place of my (Mike) birth. We saw my old house. Oh... by the way, before I forget, we had a baby! Ok, actually we got a turtle. His (we're assuming it's a he) name is Moses. He's a red eared slider and he bites (trust me, I know first hand)! Overall, he's a good kid. We'll post some pictures soon. I promise! Later!

What a lovely day!
(Sarah here, if you couldn't tell from the title!)
Today we took a little day trip to Stowe, VT with Mike's parents, Mimi (grandmother) and cousin Laura. First, we stopped at Dakin Farms, a little gift shop with LOTS of free samples of everything from cheese to relish! Then we stopped at another little shop (Shelburne Country Store) where we all bought penny candy. (of course the price has gone up to 10 cents!) Then we went to Mt. Marshall where we ate a picnic lunch, then headed up the gondolas to the top. It was just beautiful!! We had dessert at the restaurant (an interesting event!), then headed back down. Next, we went to the Ben & Jerry's factory. It was neat to see how they make everything, but we didn't get even a smidgen of Chubby Hubby (my favorite!) Of course we made memories in the car, singing along to The Cathedrals and playing 20 Questions. All in all, it was a great day!
